Hello Friend,
My hearts speaks of the process of finding ways to live inside the rhythm of the soul to create lasting impressions in life that are supportive, true.
Learning the rhythm of the body is only the first step in creating a life aligned to the true connection of heart-soul fulfillment. In asking questions that require deeper observations we discover that we are simple in our needs.
Our soul only wants to be expressed.
In order to find soul expression beyond our comfort zone while making lasting changes for ourselves we need to find our challenge points. These are places where we need to be strong but instead we tend to nurture the weakness.
For example, here are a few of my weaknesses I nurture: I can be physically lazy when it comes to pushing my intensity when exercising. I can overspend on foods or objects to pacify my emotions when I’m not emotionally fit. I withhold my creative urges when I’m tired, pushing for more productive endeavors because mentally I can’t relax. These are just a few….
To grow into the rhythm we discovered at the start of the year we need to explore these shortcomings, build new emotional and mental muscles and create a blueprint for living that isn’t dictated by anyone.
A Year of Challenges
We run marathons, live off the grid, explore jungles in the great unknown to discover more of ourselves and the world around us.
This can easily and effectively be done within daily living. In fact, this is where we need to challenge ourselves because its where all the living is done.
To explore beyond my comfort zone I have created 12 individual month long challenges that require me to think, choose, and be.
Each month I will be challenged to meet the tension I’m creating within myself by expanding my awareness of my three-fold body and in extension pushing towards soul expression.
This is my list. If you desire a challenge create your own list of areas you need to explore. You don’t know where your weaknesses are if you don’t push your edges. Check in with your physical, emotional, and mental bodies to see where you could challenge yourself even more.
12 months of challenges for 2025
January: A month of no excess spending
February: A month of letting go
March: A month of visioning utilizing TS methods
April: A month of yoga
May: A month of intentional speech
June: A month of daily beach time
July: A month of intentional earth time
August: A month of dance parties
September: A month of home cooked meals - intentional eating
October: A month of daily gathered words to create poetry
November: A month of daily challenges to expand my comfort zone
December: A month of creating: painting, drawing, or collage
When creating challenges keep one thing in mind: life has a rhythm that helps us plan vacations or big projects. The same should be true for the challenges. Summer is great for some challenges and less so for others. We want this to be successful, supportive, life affirming.
I will be visiting this topic often because it’s important. Living in a culture that supports mind-numbing activities needs more voices that support thoughtful approaches to mental acuity. If you are considering doing a challenge please reply and let me help cheer you on.
All my Love,
Leah 💕
