Alchemy is about embracing change
To undo what has been done requires a resolve that is rarely reserved for humans. Great beings such as the earth herself hold that honor. Yet, when we look back at our ancestors footsteps we see that their forward progress did indeed undo some of what was done.
It is with this idea- that we can change the past with our forward thinking, that I offer you a declaration worth considering: We are meant to become our own ancestors.
Living through a new shift in our world culture— analog to digital— our time has come to recreate the reality for the future. Yet the very technology that is pervasive as it is instrumental in our lives pushes us further and faster without regard to the consequences. Collectively we are running on a hamster wheel of global competition without thought to the collective outcome.
When is it enough?
The answer is in the question. Enough is different based on your situation and status in life, as well as the culture you reside in. The universal need for food, water, and safety not withstanding, we have very little we actually require and yet we push forward towards more.
We cannot change the global push for technological advancements so obscene they don’t even bare speaking of here. What we can change is how we live and the thoughts that create a lasting change in our sphere of influence.
Becoming your own ancestor
Through time immortal we have seen many culture shifts, from papyrus to electric books, from herbal remedies to modern medicines. Change is a by-product of asking questions and utilizing those questions to find solutions.
With each shift the world required new ways of coping with the changes. I offer my humble suggestion to our current world shift:
Find a way to become the ancestor you want to be for the world.
We can remake our past with a gentle shift in perspective through the presence of our intentions.
We can decide to step back from overspending, over consumption, over indulgence. We can free our minds to allow more for all (collective we), not just the “I”.
Living in a universe that is energetically unlimited means we have endless ways to create, heal, produce and allow. We do not need to ruin nations to become a better version of ourselves.
We must simply resolve to do better, in each moment.
Within the bosom of the collective mindset of trust, I rest my heart towards the divine goodness found in each soul.
The intention is not to ignore the terrible things that are taking place on this planet, but to uplift those that are stuck in the cycle of these horrible things. If we are to create a better place for the next generation to live, we must start here with ourselves.
Let’s start with our thoughts, our intentions and our actions. Create the traditions that bring us closer to who we are— the Ancestors of the Future.
