Hi I’m Lenaleah, writer, storyteller, mystic. I offer a weekly dose of intuitive inspiration and a story or two along the way. My ultimate goal is to remind you that you are a sacred little bean. Thanks for letting my words share your space.
The Draw- a oracle perspective to consider for the week ahead
the Question: What is it in our hearts that we need to assist with the week ahead?
the Card: Sometimes it’s not a card that is required, it’s a phrase from a book, or a poem that hits just right. The messages from Spirit come in all forms. This week it wanted to be birthed in the form of a poem from Danusha Lameris (click on her name to check out more of her poetry).
the Message:
Small Kindnesses
I’ve been thinking about the way, when you walk
down a crowded aisle, people pull in their legs
to let you by. Or how strangers still say “bless you”
when someone sneezes, a leftover
from the Bubonic plague. “Don’t die,” we are saying.
And sometimes, when you spill lemons
from your grocery bag, someone else will help you
pick them up. Mostly, we don’t want to harm each other.
We want to be handed our cup of coffee hot,
and to say thank you to the person handing it. To smile
at them and for them to smile back. For the waitress
to call us honey when she sets down the bowl of clam chowder,
and for the driver in the red pick-up truck to let us pass.
We have so little of each other, now. So far
from tribe and fire. Only these brief moments of exchange.
What if they are the true dwelling of the holy, these
fleeting temples we make together when we say, “Here,
have my seat,” “Go ahead—you first,” “I like your hat.”
Inspiration- to keep you going, to use as a journal prompt, to allow for more
A message I divined while in communion with Spirit last week.
Joy is found in the soul of the lessons learned while living life.
A list: of updates
I’m five weeks into being a full time student. To utilize some of my vocabulary words from psychology class- my cognitive functions don’t work like they use to, and I hope my hippocampus can dust itself off and get on with retaining all this learning, I have a big test this week.
The cold I came down with on Thursday kicked my booty, and I finally gave myself permission to just be sick, doing all the things I make my family do when they are sick. Recovery is much quicker this way.
It’s time for a honey harvest and also time for fall planting. Most of the plant beds are laid to rest and ready for the next cycle in the weeks to come.
Both my daughters received driving permits- practice starts this week. (pray for me)
I’m working on few new ways to communicate all the beautiful conversations I have with Spirit. This Friday will host one format I’m excited about.
What is going on in your world? What can we celebrate with you? What do you need to be seen in that is changing how you view life? Leave a comment for me, I would love to check in with you and see how you are.
May the blessings of the waning moon give you permission to release hard held beliefs that no longer serve your greater good.
I love you,
Lenaleah 💕
