I have walk upon the flat land of a wildscape, my inner sacred space of self. Here I have discovered a powerful ally.
The Shadow Dancer.
She has stuck to the shadows out of safety. A choosing that is entirely of her own for self preservation. She is covered in sap, dirt under her nails, river water in her hair. Dress tattered, feet bare. She speaks in the language of an on coming storm. Whispers of cricket songs. Sings in the tune of quiet footfalls upon the desert sand. The choice to live desolate was to keep her wild boundaries known and a reminder of where her true belonging was found.
This bit of me is growing.
I walked into her kingdom in surrender, welcoming this piece of me that knows the stories and allows the words to flow with ease. I honor this chapter to the Shadow Dancer. She has held the line while the rest of me was trying to figure it all out and get on with it.
15 years ago, my younger self was dancing in the desert under a meteor shower knowing later I would be here greeting you with my story.
Shadow Dance has now entered the room. Here are 5 things:
5 Things to Build a Better Truth:
Self care is not something that is earned. Motherhood is not synonymous with martyrdom, it’s just an old tale that the collective has tried to feed us on a silver spoon to keep us weak and forgetful.
Anger is powerful fuel for creation, if the right frame of mind is present.
The propagation of a dream builds a new universe made by your design.
You are enough. Everything needed for this entire life was placed within you before birth. Let the sparks of desire rise up and bring the awakening.
If your life was a throne for your soul what shape would it be?
“But this life, what a shining thing- it is enough.” - Sue Monk Kidd from The Book of Longings
Thank you dear sister Blessings to you this season. I will see you in the night sky and on the frosted earth. love light and Shadow Catherine
