Hello Friend,
My heart speaks of choices for the betterment of the whole. I wish you all that and more.
Identifying what we truly need verses what we want is an effort of focused intention. Unless you’ve managed to live a life free of materialism your brain is likely programmed to want more of whatever is shiny and new right now. It’s a by-product of an overstimulated culture of materialism married with the flooded market of social media.
The good news: programming can be rewritten. We can do better because we want to and likely need to in order to create a model of wholeness in our lives.
This year is the year of choice, so let us remember that effective change starts the day we decide it does.
If we are to walk in a level of wholeness this year—through the good and the challenging—then we must to identify our weaknesses (unmet needs) so we can arrive each day with a willingness to receive and succeed.
The ability to listen to the quiet voices of our body to discover the needs of each level of that body take a bit of practice. In some cases it’s easier to list what is not wanted before we find what we need.
Below is an exercise in capturing what is needed by the body forms, along with some self-discovery into how to listen to these needs. Tomorrow we will discuss the action of implementation and visioning for our future self.
The Practice of Listening to Our Needs:
Take stock of the current situation of the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual space in the body. Create a list noting the sensations, static or shadowy spaces, tightness, anxiety, tension, fogginess, pain, dis-ease, overstimulation, retention, lethargy, boredom, listlessness and so on.1
List out any obvious solutions to current weaknesses present, such as stretching for tight muscles or more sleep for lethargy. These counter-balance actions assist by leveling out where lack is present.
Start Asking Questions that Guide:
Check in with the five physical senses. Are any in need of more attention?
What colors, textures, or sounds can support the emotions and more importantly what doesn’t support it?
Where can mental stimulation be found off screen? Mental stimulation can be challenging to identify at first but it’s worth the effort. Consider mediation as it is a mental body exercise and will also support the rest of the body.
What does the Soul want you to know? This question is not asked lightly. Please take this concept into a quiet space or in nature and allow yourself the space to envision a loving part of yourself giving you a pep talk on the direction life has in store for you right now.
By slowly connecting with the levels of our being we are opening doors to new awarenesses that we will harness for our vision of the future.
You are Beautiful and I love you,
Leah 💕

A Rhythm Found is a Song
This is Part 3 of a series of writings on aligning the body systems into an awareness of wholeness that allows for informed choices aligned with our natural rhythms. Created for the new year, it is also an excellent activity anytime life needs a reset button.
The emotional body is contained in the surrounding area around your physical form extending out approximately 2 inches and can show signs of illness or dark spots. Mental body is located in the head and upward to a foot above the head. Spiritual body is located in a central root in the heart center and radiates outward from the physical form like an egg, size varies based on the individual.
